The challenge
Equans faced a significant obstacle: their Eco Programme was created to support the community, but without reliable waste management assistance, it could not function as intended. Many residents, unable to dispose of unwanted items due to mobility challenges, lack of transport, or the cost of removal, did not have a safe way to remove old furniture or bulky waste. As a result, the risk of fly-tipping and neglect of local spaces grew.
The solution
By providing skips free of charge, Panda gives residents a way to clear out items they otherwise couldn’t, keeping the Equans Eco programme running smoothly and allowing volunteers to pitch in. Together, they move rubbish safely and efficiently, turning a practical task into a real moment of community support. The project also highlights the power of working in partnership, creating visible environmental improvements while making a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
