Separate glass. Better recycling. Lower costs.

Glass bottles and jars are 100% recyclable, and when they’re separated properly, they can be recycled again and again without losing quality. Our dedicated glass recycling service makes it easy for your business to recycle more, reduce contamination, and stay compliant.

Save on waste collection costs in just a couple of ticks

Whether you run a pub, café, restaurant, hotel, office, or retail space, glass waste can quickly build up.

Mixing it with other recyclables increases contamination, damages sorting equipment, and drives up costs. Panda provides a separate glass collection service – designed to keep things simple, safe, and sustainable.

What goes in your glass bin?

Always make sure glass is clean and empty before placing it in the bin.

Yes please

  • Glass bottles
  • Glass jars
  • Clear, green, and brown glass
  • Empty drinks bottles
  • Food jars (sauces, condiments, preserves)

No thanks

  • Ceramics or crockery
  • Pyrex or heat-resistant glass
  • Window glass or mirrors
  • Light bulbs or fluorescent tubes
  • Glass mixed with food or liquids

Why separate glass?

Glass is heavy. When it’s mixed with other waste streams, it increases transport costs and lowers recycling quality. Separating it out means:

- Higher recycling rates

- Lower contamination

- Safer collections for staff

- Better-quality recycled material

- Improved compliance with Simpler Recycling rules

- It’s better for your business and better for the planet.

On collection, your glass is taken to a specialist recycling facility where it’s:

  • Sorted - Contaminants are removed to ensure only clean glass is processed.

  • Crushed - Glass is crushed into cullet, the raw material for new glass products.

  • Remade - The cullet is melted down and turned into new bottles and jars, ready to be used again.
